# Newly v2 launch

> Newly v2 opens to new sign-ups at newly.app, in the web app and in Newly for Mac.

<Update label="2026-09-15" description="Newly v2 opens to new sign-ups">
  ## Newly v2 is here

  Newly v2 is available in the web app at app.newly.app and in Newly for Mac.

  New sign-ups at newly.app now get a Newly v2 account. If you already use Newly v1 (legacy), signing in at newly.app still takes you to Newly v1. Newly v1 and Newly v2 are separate, with their own accounts, projects, credits and plans. Not sure which one you use? See [v1 vs v2: which one am I using?](/get-started/which-newly)

  ## Highlights

  * **Cloud simulators for iOS and Android.** The agent builds your app and runs it on a cloud iPhone and a cloud Android device, shown in the preview pane. There's no QR code and nothing to install. See [Previewing your app](/preview/overview).
  * **The Web view.** In Remote chats, see a web version of your app next to the chat. See [Previewing your app](/preview/overview).
  * **Build, Plan and Ask.** **Build** changes your app. **Plan** and **Ask** let you talk through an idea without changing code. See [Build, Plan, Ask and Design](/build/modes).
  * **Credits based on the work done.** Credits follow how much work the agent does, not the number of messages you send. See [How credits work](/billing/how-credits-work).
  * **Restore to here.** Take your app's code back to an earlier point in the chat. It changes your code, not your app's data. See [Undo and Restore to here](/code/undo-and-restore).
  * **AI models for your app.** Add AI features that create text, images, audio or video, without your own provider keys. Requests are paid from your Newly credits. See [AI features in your app](/backend/ai-models).
  * **Ship to TestFlight from the chat.** In a Remote chat, ask the agent to publish and a **Ship to TestFlight** card opens. Organization owners and admins can connect Apple there and upload an iOS build to TestFlight. See [Ship your iOS app to TestFlight](/publish/testflight).
