Using the classic newly.app builder? These docs are for Newly v2 (app.newly.app and Newly for Mac). If your projects open at newly.app/project/…, or you preview with a QR code and a Deploy menu, you’re on Newly v1. Go to the v1 (legacy) docs → · Not sure? Which Newly am I using?
Newly v2, at app.newly.app and in Newly for Mac, turns a description of your app into a real iOS and Android app. You describe what you want in a chat, and the agent writes the code. You try the app on cloud simulators in the preview pane and keep asking for changes. When it’s ready, an organization owner or admin can send an iPhone build to TestFlight from the chat.

Two ways to use Newly v2

Both use the same account. Remote chats run in the cloud and show up in both.

Web app

Open app.newly.app in your browser. There’s nothing to install.

Newly for Mac

Download it from newly.app/download. It adds Local chats, which run on your Mac and can use your own Claude or Codex login.
